  Extensive Public Trail System

The paved 40+ mile Razorback Greenway connects all the major cities of NWA with auxiliary trails spider-webbing throughout each city. The Greenway is the main artery of the public trail system running north from Bella Vista, south to Fayetteville. With hundreds of miles of paved trails, more than 1,000  daily users hits the trials for exercise, walking dogs, or alternative modes of commuting around the cities. In fact, these trails are so popular many cities on NWA have made it a goal for all residents to be within a few minutes of a public trail.

 

  The Bicyclist's Backyard

Beyond paved trails, NWA is proud to claim the "Mountain Biking Capital of the World" title with hundred of dirt trails across the area. There are over 250 miles of mountain bike trails in the area. Bentonville boasts to first "bikeable building" with the Ledger where no surprise, the bike company Vittoria has decided to move their new North America headquarters. In 2020, Fayetteville built a world-class bike park at Centennial Park, which hosted the 2022 Cyclocross World Championships, as well as; the 2021 & 2022 Cyclocross World Cups. The Joe Martin Stage Race is a road race held annually in Fayetteville for over 45 years and is consistently ranks as one of the top stage races one the USA Cycling Pro Rad Tour (PRT). December 2022, the League of American Bicyclists has designated Fayetteville as a gold-level Bicycle Friendly Community, Fayetteville is the only city in Arkansas to receive the Bicycle Friendly Community  gold-level designation.

 

  Water Sport Haven

The rivers and lakes in NWA offer abundant opportunity for fun. Boating, water skiing, kayaking, canoeing, group float trips, etc. Bella Vista features 7 small lakes among the hills. Fayetteville also offers 3 city lakes great for fishing and boating. The nearby King River, White River, and Buffalo River are great places to plan a kayaking, canoeing, or float trips. Siloam Springs will also be the new home of a national-caliber whitewater adventure park.

 

  Hunting & Fishing

Find excellent hunting spot or a great fishing hole within less than an hour from an city in Northwest Arkansas. Beaver Lake offers perfect environment for both hunting and fishing for licensed outdoor gamesmen.

  Endless Outdoor Activities

There is no shortage of outdoor fun. Public parks, golf courses, botanical gardens, hiking, scenic overlooks, & waterfalls. Every city offers their own unique amenities for the public. Many outdoor concerts are held throughout the spring, summer, and fall. There are also some amazing farmer's markets in the town squares. There's something here for everyone!
